Welcome to Kaevo — your family's household operating system. Here's how to get started in about 5 minutes:

1. Set up your home — Go to House & Equity and enter your home value and mortgage details. This powers your Net Worth tracker.
2. Add your bills and income — Open Budget & Income and enter your monthly bills and income. Kaevo tracks what's paid and what's due.
3. Add your vehicles — Go to Vehicles to track loan balances, service intervals, and maintenance history.
4. Invite family members — Go to Settings → Family Members to add your partner or children with their own logins.
5. Plan ahead — Head to Vacations to build a trip itinerary, or Recipes to start a weekly meal plan.

The Dashboard is your customizable daily landing page — a set of widgets summarizing household finances, credit, investments, travel, and alerts. Click ⚙️ Customize in the top-right to show or hide any widget below.

• 🏠 House Score — A gauge of your overall household health across finances, maintenance, and planning.
• 💰 Daily Pulse — Today's bank balance (tap to update), safe "Can Spend Today" figure, net worth, and investments total.
• 🏦 Net Worth — Net worth with trend, total assets, total liabilities, and debt-to-asset ratio.
• 💸 Spending This Month — Current month's spending by category, pulled from confirmed transactions.
• 📊 Monthly Digest — A short narrative summary of the month so far — spending, savings, notable events.
• 📈 Investments — All retirement and investment accounts with current balances.
• 📊 Credit Scores — Latest scores across all three bureaus for each household member. Tap to view full history.
• ✈️ Next Vacation — Countdown and preview of your next planned trip.
• 🔔 Alerts — AI-surfaced anomalies (unusual bill changes), upcoming deadlines, and reminders. Hidden when empty.

Each widget section is independently collapsible — click any ▾ header to hide it temporarily without toggling the Customize panel.

Budget & Income is your financial control center — it tracks your bills, income, and spending by month with a YNAB-style review queue for every imported transaction.

• Bills & Income — Enter monthly bills and income sources. Each account gets its own linked bills and income; Kaevo uses your next pay date and pay-frequency to project out accurate cash flow.
• Accounts & Transactions — Link checking accounts and import CSV bank statements. Kaevo auto-matches transactions to bills and categorizes spending.
• Cash Flow — A daily review queue for every imported transaction. Debits match to bills, credits match to projected income, and confirmed income moves from projected to actual.
• Cash Planner — A today-forward daily grid showing projected balance day by day, so you can see exactly when cash is tight and when paychecks land.
• Trends — Category-level spending trends over time, month-over-month and year-over-year.
• Net Worth — Automatically calculated from home equity, retirement accounts, investments, vehicles, and debts.
• Credit Scores — Track all three bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) for each family member month by month.
• Credit Cards — Track balances, limits, utilization, APR, and payment due dates for every card.
• Retirement & Investments — Track all investment accounts with balances and allocation targets. View a projection chart to your retirement year.
• Year in Review — Annual summary of spending patterns, net worth growth, and financial milestones.
• Tax Center — Track deductions, W-2 data, and tax-related documents organized by tax year.
• Consulting — If you do 1099 or consulting work, track clients, invoices, and feed it into Cash Flow and the Tax Center.

• House & Equity — Enter your market value, purchase price, loan balance, and rate. Kaevo calculates your equity and amortization schedule automatically.
• Improvements — Log renovations with cost and estimated value added. These appear in your equity calculation.
• Maintenance Schedule — A 12-month grid of recurring home tasks customized for Florida living (pool, hurricane prep, pest control). Check items off as you complete them.
• Projects & Tasks — Track planned or in-progress home projects with cost estimates, status, and year.
• Home Inventory — Catalog your appliances, furniture, and valuables with purchase price, current value, serial numbers, and photos. Useful for insurance claims.
• Warranties & Appliances — Track appliance warranties, receipts, and expiration dates so you know what's still covered.
• Home Vitals — Store paint colors, grass type, appliance model numbers, filter sizes, and other details you always need but can never find.
• Vehicles — Track each vehicle's make, model, mileage, loan balance, payment, insurance, and VIN. Includes a full service log and scheduled service reminders.
• Vehicle Service Log — Record oil changes, tire rotations, and repairs. Set service intervals and Kaevo will alert you when they're due.

• Creating a trip — Click + New Trip and enter the destination, year, and travel dates. Then add stops day by day.
• Itinerary stops — Each stop has a time, location, activity, hotel, cost, paid amount, confirmation number, and notes.
• Cost tracking — Kaevo totals all trip costs and shows how much has been paid vs still owed. Click the cost KPI for a full drilldown.
• Trip Mode — Click 🏖 Trip Mode on any trip for a full-screen, day-by-day view of your itinerary with weather, a Map tab, quick expense logging, and a Share Day button to text the day's plan to whoever's with you.
• Packing lists — Each trip has its own packing list. You can also save and reuse templates (Beach Trip, European City Trip, etc.).
• Checklists — Pre-built pre-departure checklist covering passports, insurance, bank notification, and more.
• Travel Documents — Store passport numbers and expiry dates for every family member. Kaevo alerts you when they're expiring.

The AI Assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude and analyzes your actual Kaevo data to answer questions about your finances, travel, and family.

• AI access — AI features are included with your Kaevo subscription. No API key setup required.
• What it can do — Ask it to analyze your budget trends, suggest savings strategies, compare vacation costs, recommend gifts or wines, or explain any section of your data.
• Context modes — Toggle "Full Context" to give the AI access to your complete data, or "Quick Chat" for general questions.
• Document Reader — Upload a PDF (bank statement, tax doc, contract) and the AI will summarize or answer questions about it.
• In-context AI — Several modules have their own AI helpers: Wine Cellar recommendations, Gift Tracker recommendations, and Career Planning resume tools.
• Email briefings — Enable daily or weekly email summaries in Settings → Account. You'll get an AI-written briefing of what's on deck — bills, events, chores, and meals — delivered to your inbox.

• Cloud Sync — Your data is automatically saved to the cloud each time you make a change. No manual saving needed.
• Export your data — Email support@kaevo.ai to request a copy of your data. We respond within 30 days per the privacy policy.
• Reset or delete account — To reset your data to a clean state or delete your account, email support@kaevo.ai. Same 30-day response window.

• Inviting family members — Go to Settings → Family Members → Invite to generate an invite link. Your partner or family member clicks the link, creates an account, and instantly joins your household with shared data.
• Member types — Every household member is either a Parent or a Child. Parents have full read/write access to household data.
• Shared data — All household members share the same data. Changes made by one member are saved to the cloud and visible to others on their next page load.
• Real-time sync — Four features sync instantly across devices without refresh: Shopping List (check off items at the store), Family Calendar (add/edit events), Chores (mark tasks done), and Bills Paid (mark bills as paid). Changes appear on the other device within seconds.
• Same account, multiple devices — You can also log into your own account on multiple devices (phone + tablet + desktop). Real-time sync works between them too.

• Bug reports — Found something broken? Submit a report with a title, description, and severity. The Kaevo team tracks and responds to every report.
• Changelog — View a running log of all fixes and new features shipped. Each entry shows what was changed and when.
• Comments — Add comments to any bug report for follow-up discussion. Email notifications keep the team informed.
